Kathryn Mattson, HIA
Director of Small Group Sales and Service (2-50 Market Segment)
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona

In her role as director of Small Group Sales and Service for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ), Kathryn leads a team of sales professionals dedicated to providing a first class member experience for new and prospective clients’ throughout the state.

With more than 20 years of healthcare industry experience, Kathryn possesses a wealth of expertise in strategic sales execution, team organization, marketing, public relations, and sales operations.

Kathryn joined BCBSAZ in 1998, and since has established a track record of excellence in servicing clients and brokers to boost growth and reduce costs in a changing healthcare environment.

She is also passionate about community involvement. Kathryn recently served on the board of directors for Chrysalis – a nonprofit organization that works with individuals and families impacted by domestic violence.

She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business and has a Health Insurance Associate (HIA) designation.

Luke Mattila is the Vice President of Sales and Account Management for UnitedHealthcare, overseeing the Arizona and New Mexico markets in the Small Business segment.  In his fourteen years with UnitedHealthcare, he has previously heldroles as a Renewal Account Executive, a Manager of Sales and Account Management, and most recently was the Director of Sales and Account Management for the West Region of UnitedHealthcare Inside Sales.  

Luke holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a major in Management Information Systems, and a minor in Finance.  

Luke currently resides in the Desert Ridge community in Phoenix, with his wife Sara, and their eleven-year-old son, Brady.

Rhian Madrid is the Director of Sales for Banner|Aetna’s in Arizona, responsible for the new business growth teams in the Small Group (2-100) and Select (101-300) business segments. Rhian has been on the Aetna team since 2012 and most recently been in the Arizona market leading the Banner|Aetna new business sales teams since 2017.

During his career with Aetna, Rhian helped the organization re-enter the Small Group segment in the Colorado market following the inception of the ACA and before to that he was the Wellness Account Consultant for Aetna’s AZ, CO, NM, NV, and UT markets. Prior to joining Aetna, he held roles in the health education and operations space in the worksite wellness space. Early in his career, he leveraged his clinical training in the cardiac rehab setting helping patients return to activities of daily living, post cardiac event.

Rhian was a student-athlete graduate of Northern Arizona University. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his wife, is an avid golfer and enjoys outdoor activities.

Brad Anderson, VP of Sales Cigna 

Brad has spent almost 14 years with Cigna and is currently Vice President of Sales.  He spent 13.5 years in a variety of underwriting roles, but most recently was the Risk and Underwriting Director for AZ and North Texas before he moved into his new role January 2019. In his current role he is continually working with his team to execute on strategies to drive growth.  Brad is passionate about building long term sustainable relationships with clients and brokers to show why Cigna should always be the partner of choice. Brad is a native of Arizona, grew up in Tucson and received a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from Northern Arizona University.
